Get Paid for Surveys, but Avoid Getting Scammed

You’ll certainly find so many different ways to earn money on the World Wide Web, but not many can be as popular as paid online surveys. Well why won’t online surveys end up popular? Answering a questionnaire with your opinion is just too easy, and to get paid for surveys regardless the amount is just gold.

Unfortunately, many scammers lurk around and dress their schemes up as legitimate online surveys. You obviously don’t get paid for surveys if you bite these scams, as you’ll end up paying the online con artist instead. Many such scams however are cleverly disguised, and it can’t be helped that some people – especially those new to the Internet – fall for them.

Fraudulent online survey companies are fortunately avoidable. All it takes is a simple press of your browser’s back button, then move on. However, to avoid online survey scams, you should first learn how to detect one. You figure out a survey is a scam if you see one of the few common signs that define Internet fraud.

It’s Too Good to Be True

A lot of online survey companies try to get your attention with advertisements or spam emails detailing surveys where you can make big money in so little time. You should be wary of companies giving such offers, especially if they’re delivered through some sketchy medium like spam.

It’s not really possible to make big money through surveys alone. In fact, many have already resigned to the fact that they can only earn a little from online surveys and use it as a mere source of extra income. In addition, the promises of big money for little effort is a common promotional statement to many online work scams, and as such, it should be viewed with suspicion. Unfortunately, not many received this warning as you did just now, and ended up with their money taken from them without earning a single cent from the alleged high-paying surveys.

Fake Contacts or Lack Thereof

It’s not a habit of con artists to display their contact details, as nobody bothers to find it unless something goes wrong anyway. As such, you won’t see real contacts on their websites – many times, you won’t see any pretense of contact information at all. As such, it is best that before you sign up with an online survey company, you should check out their contact information if there is any, then test them out to see if they are legit.

It Asks for Payment

Fake survey sites always ask for payment. They’ll ask for fees, usually during the registration process, then just run away with your money. As such, be very suspicious of online survey companies that ask for cash as a prerequisite of becoming one of their survey takers. Don’t bother proceed to sign up unless the fees are explained properly and the site’s legitimacy is verified by third party sources.

Unless someone declares a martial law on the Internet and be able to back it up, there will always be survey scams. It will really help a lot if you know how to identify them. Remember that you join websites in order to get paid for surveys, and not the opposite as in the case with scams.
